Jeanette and Jordan

Earlier this day I woke up thinking it was an average day of editing and admin, a general ‘rest day’ before a big weekend of two weddings.

I received a call from both couples within 15 minutes of each other, both couples wanted to bring their wedding forward to the Friday before the covid lockdown hit… 😬 I was heavily pregnant, throwing random clothes in a bag and packing my camera gear not knowing which wedding I was going to.

I called up my backup photographer I had in place and asked if she could fill in the Gippsland wedding as there was no one close to Bright that could fill in for me. So I quickly jumped in the car and made the 3.5 hour drive up to Bright and made it just on time! I called my accommodation on the way up and brought that forward.

Fortunately, everything fell into place just perfectly. In terms of lighting and how gorgeous this setup was, I honestly don’t think it could have been anymore perfect than this.

As we had limited photo time, the next day I offered we do some “essential exercise” by hiking up Hotham summit track on my way home (yes, we did fudge the rules a bit). This will forever and always be one of my favourite stories to tell.

I’m so incredibly grateful to Jordan and Jeanette saying “we will only go ahead if you can make it.”
